What qualifications and certifications do I need to become start working an occupational therapist?
We require a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution, as well as a valid registration with AHPRA to practice as an occupational therapist in the state where the position is located.
What experience do I need to have to be working as an occupational therapist?
We prefer candidates with at least 2-3 years of experience working as an occupational therapist in a clinical or hospital seeting. However,we also welcome recent graduates with strong clinical skills obtained via their placement.
Do I need to be fluent in OT report writing to be an OT at Diversey Care?
While some experience is required, we will still offer a training period for new OTs which will include report writing skills and assessment skills.
Will I get any professional development opportunity at Diversey Care?
Yes. You will receive 12 hours of professional development every year and face to face spervision with your manager every 2 weeks. We encourage our therapists to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in the field to provide the highest quality of care to our patients.
